Edge Zones is very pleased to announce this year’s A.I.R. award recipients are Dominican artists Jonathan Carela and Fidel Lopez. The Artist Residency Program offers short residencies to selected artists through our international exchange program. This year’s program was held in August. Each residency varies in length according to the artists’ and the project needs. Generally lasting from one to three weeks. In addition to creating and developing their own work, artists share their creative process at Edge Zones with the public through open rehearsals, workshops, and/or artist talks.

Hailing from Santo Domingo, Fidel's artistic journey has been one of exploration, experimentation, and a deep connection to the essence of his surroundings.
