“Bonds of Belonging (An Aesthetic Revelation)”
Multi-Channel Video Installation
Jan-Feb 2025
“Bonds of Belonging (An Aesthetic Revelation)” is a multi-channel video installation that delves into the intricate and often cataclysmic dynamics of family relationships. It portrays emotional landscapes shaped by tension, rupture, and reconciliation.
Drawing from personal archives and images of natural phenomena, this video installation transforms intimate, everyday moments into a visual language that examines the fragility and resilience of family bonds.
At its core, the installation reflects the volatile and unpredictable nature of family relationships, establishing parallels between familial dynamics and environmental phenomena: delicate ecosystems prone to disturbance, yet capable of renewal.
By immersing viewers in a meditation on memory, emotional turbulence, and connection, the piece invites contemplation of the shared yet deeply personal experience of family.
